Carved & Inlayed Round Vase

I tried 2 new techniques on this pot.

1) Rolling the rim over at the end of throwing it on the wheel (Thanks Great Pottery Throw Down). 

2) I carved the design in the outside wall and then inlayed it with a white slip (watered down clay).

It’s not one of my loudest, boldest pots, but elegant in its own right for sure! Around 6 in tall.
